THE SQUAD

The head coach(HC) is the person in charge of the entire football team. They create the game plan, make key decisions during the game (like when to call a timeout or what plays to run), and guide the players in practice and games. The head coach is responsible for leading the team, motivating players, and making sure everyone is working together to win. 

The quarterback (QB) is the leader of the offense in football. Their main job is to take the ball from the center at the start of a play and decide what to do next—either throw the ball to a receiver, hand it off to a running back, or run with it themselves. The quarterback is responsible for making quick decisions and guiding the team's strategy on the field, making them one of the most important players in the game. 

The defensive end (DE) is a key player on the defense, positioned on the outer edges of the defensive line. Their main job is to pressure the opposing quarterback by trying to sack them or disrupt their throws, as well as stopping running plays by tackling the ball carrier. DEs are known for their speed and strength, making them crucial in both defending against the pass and the run. 

The running back (RB) is a key player on the offense, positioned behind the quarterback. Their main job is to run the ball after receiving a handoff from the quarterback, aiming to gain yards and score touchdowns. They also catch passes and help block defenders when needed. RBs are known for their agility and vision, making them essential for both running plays and short passing plays. 

The wide receiver (WR) is a key player on the offense, positioned near the sidelines. Their main job is to catch passes from the quarterback and advance the ball down the field, aiming to score touchdowns. WRs use their speed, agility, and route-running skills to create separation from defenders and make big plays. They are crucial in the passing game, often responsible for stretching the defense and making key receptions. 

The linebacker (LB) is a key player on the defense, positioned behind the defensive line. Their main job is to stop the run, cover receivers, and rush the quarterback when needed. LBs are versatile, often tasked with both defending against the pass and tackling ball carriers. Known for their strength, speed, and ability to read plays, they are crucial in defending both running and passing plays, making them one of the most adaptable players on the field.
